Benet worked in Whitehall and Westminster for over 20 years in corporate communications, ultimately as director of communications, before joining Primary STEM Education Consultancy as its Business Development Director in 2019. He has extensive experience of marketing and communications strategy, managing and delivering multi-channel campaigns, stakeholder relationship management and evaluation.

Benet began his career in educational publishing and marketing and developed and published a wide range of basic skills teaching and learning materials, including the first adult basic skills curriculum.
